A Few Words on Myself
|
One day, when I was a kid, I gazed out of the window and told my mother I would make video games.
At 2 years old I learnt how to run Space Invaders on MS-DOS. At 6 I used to do homework at record speeds to play Game Boy games with friends. Then the first PlayStation arrived, bringing me an amazing vision of 3D graphics. I still shiver when I recall Solid Snake on that elevator. After graduating with honors in Computer Science at the University of Naples Federico II, in the South of Italy, I began my career at Raylight Games in Naples. I started as a programmer, but my creative side quickly allowed me to work as a game designer and writer for The Awakened, an original IP that I had conceived. Next, I moved to Paris to be a technical game designer at Darewise Entertainment. Nowadays I am a lead game designer at Ubisoft Paris Studio, working on Project NEO NPC. Before that, I worked as a senior game designer on Star Wars Outlaws and Skull and Bones. I also teach game design at international universities and schools. Involved in courses, mentoring, talks, conferences, and educational guidance, I cherish every chance I have to share knowledge. My life is completely devoted to making video games. It is the artistic medium that perfectly conveys what I wish to express, and the one that I believe is best representing the age we're living in. We can truly use this means of expression to improve our society. I spend my days believing in a better world, embracing humanity, and creating new games with love. |
